Due to the move to current level 2 restrictions we are now able to offer more of our services to our valued customers, this includes an in house measure and quote as long as all strict procedures regarding social distancing and health and safety are in place. We do however understand that this may not be an option or suitable for everyone at this stage so would also like to continue with the option of an online video consultation. Please read below how we can help in both scenarios.
Carpet Carpet Mill would like to acknowledge everyone’s on-going concerns regarding COVID-19. Carpet Mill is committed to always having a solution to any obstacle and ensuring we still provide our customers the quality products and service New Zealanders have experienced from us for many years. As for many of you across the country, our primary form of contact with you is via a mobile van service. We have made it very clear to our area representatives, to ensure your safety is absolutely paramount; they will not perform any on-site visit if there is even the slight indication of them being unwell. In return we would like to request our staff are given the same respect. If you are feeling unwell or have been in contact with someone who has been unwel then please make us aware immediately, from here we can arrange alternative options.
The first and best option we have available to you is to come to your house for the measure and quote where we can leave samples and follow our normal procedures with some extra precautions in place regarding safety. All of our mobile representatives will be equipped with disinfectant, sanitiser, gloves and can wear a mask also if requested. They will be required to disinfect their computers and measuring devices before and after the visit and sanitise before and after also.
If it is not possible for us to come to your property then we can offer the below option for a video consultation.
The process would be as follows:
Make an enquiry via our website, or call us on 0800 255 855, providing some key details such as your name and contact details. To further assist the process, you can describe what works you would like to be quoted.
Make an appointment for an online video consultation with a smartphone, tablet or laptop. We are capable of providing an in-depth flooring consultation, showcasing both carpet and hard flooring options. This can be done on any of the three following platforms.

Following our cyber consult, we can deliver or courier to you a selection of samples covering the colours and grades we have selected together.
Note: every precaution will be taken to ensure the samples are handled safely and hygienically.
If you have access to a digital or physical copy of your floor plan that shows interior wall dimensions, these can be sent to us. Areas will be quantified to provide a quote.
If you are unable to provide us with the floor plans, we can arrange an in-house measure while you are either not at home or in a separate area of the house.
With that estimation we will provide an itemised quote based on the products selected and areas measured. This will be sent with an area confirmation plan.
Once you’re happy with the areas quoted, colour and grade, you can accept your quote. Installation can then be scheduled at either our next available date, or your preferred date.
As with the site measure, the installers may require you to be vacant of the house, or in a separate area. Our installers are trusted and will endeavour to keep providing a safe and professional service, promising the utmost care is taken with the hygiene of both your home and themselves.
